American Diner is our most affordable coffee. This blend defines the phrase "bottomless cup." It has a mild taste profile, roasted with Central American coffees. It is the type of coffee you'll find in many breakfast and diner joints. You love it. We love it. If you normally pick up a generic bag of coffee at your local supermarket, give this a try instead! You'll never go back.
Not sure which grind option to choose?
- Drip - a regular grind for everyday coffee brewers. This option will work great for most methods of brewing.
- Fine - best used for Melitta pour or espresso machines.
- Coarse - best used for cold brew or French press coffee makers.
- Whole Bean - keeps your coffee fresh for the longest amount of time. Only choose this option if you have access to a coffee grinder.
How long should this coffee last you? You may be tempted to order more immediately because it tastes so good, but 2 lbs. of coffee can make up to 80 8 oz. cups. Even if you are a regular coffee drinker, a 2 lb. bag can last you weeks! Buying a cup of coffee at your local chain or café can cost you $100 or more per month. There's no need to spend that much. Save money and enjoy a fresher, better cup with Richard Alan.

American Diner blend
For years, my husband and I remarked on the great taste of Richard Alan coffee in restaurants we frequented, and it was long before we knew it was available for retail. This distinctive, smooth "American Diner" coffee is absolutely delicious. I am always excited to discover it in another restaurant, and always ask if it's Richard Alan. Very distinctive. We now brew nothing else at home.

Tasty selection
My absolute favorite is After Dinner. But….. I ordered the American Dinner by accident and actually like the lighter roast. It would definitely be my second spot go to. But again. My golden egg is the After dinner. Next order I’ll switch back. I will certainly enjoy the American Dinner for the next few months.

Just The Best!
A number of years ago, while dining at our favorite cafe, English Muffin, I asked our waitress about the great coffee they served and how could I get some. She tipped us off that their restaurant got their coffee from Richard Alan and we've been getting our home coffee from there ever since.

American Diner
We usually buy their Colombian and wanted to try another. So be it....'American Diner'... We found it a bit too light for our taste (but their comments states it is a light coffee), so we just made it stronger. This helped and in doing so, the coffee was better and still not bitter. So if you prefer a light coffee, American Diner should satisfy in two ways, taste and cost... Enjoy :)

American diner coffee..
I first had this coffee at Cherry Hill Grill after having dinner....it was one of the best coffees my wife and I ever tasted. I asked my waitress what was the name of the coffee, when she told me and that it was local I ordered some as soon as I got home...this is the only brand I'll drink now.

American Diner Coffee
I’m a plain Jane taste person. I like the taste of OLD SCHOOL COFFEE. I either buy the Breakfast Blend or American Diner. It’s Great tasting real old school coffee. If that’s for you…….get some!
